Overview
WealthWay is an interactive app to teach young student about basic finance and investment.
Problem & Inspiration
I was inspired to build this app from a personal mistake. When I first learned about investing, I believed it was a fast track to becoming rich. I traded stocks based on short-term market sentiment, chased market volatility, and ignored proper risk management. Without a clear strategy or long-term perspective, I once experienced a loss of nearly 60% of my portfolio. That painful experience made me realize that many young people, like me, misunderstand investing as speculation rather than long-term wealth building.
User Persona
WealthWay is designed for students and young adults aged 15 to 20 who are just beginning to earn, save, or manage their own money. At this stage, many start receiving allowances, part-time income, or even their first salary, yet often lack practical financial guidance.
Research
I benchmarked existing educational apps to understand how they present complex topics in a simple and engaging way, then summarized the key concepts of investing—why to invest and how to start—into clear and easy-to-understand content.
